About The Weee Duck
The Weee Duck was started in 2024, based in a County Down town, Northern Ireland.
It was started to provide something which was missing in the brick building kit world....
Local kits. Kits that represent home (Northern Ireland & Ireland in this case).
There were many kits by various large & small companies that have made or do make kits which represent the local icons globally, such as London, Sydney, New York, Paris & so on.
But nothing for the cities (/towns / villages) of the island of Ireland, like Belfast, Derry ~ Londonderry, Dublin or Cork.
So we've decided to set out to produce building kits for our local brick building enthusiasts, tourists or for someone who just wants a bit of home on their mantel piece (not recommended if you have a duck or cat) or desk.
Where are the kits made?
Our kits are designed & sold from Northern Ireland.
The bricks & elements are currently* produced in Asia.
If we could produce or source them here, we would!
We get our bricks from WeBrick*.
We cannot use LEGO® bricks, as these kits are not made by, designed by or produced by LEGO®.
However,
The bricks we source from WeBrick are of high quality & compatible with LEGO® & other brand kits.
*We're currently looking at options of moving from an Asian supplier to a Polish supplier.
Are ye a large, profit hungry company ran by a rich person?
Nah mate. Not at all.
The Weee Duck is a new, tiny company ran by one person with support of their lovingly friends, family & cat.
As for profit, we aim to make some money from our sales - we need to or we can't produce our kits!
What kits do you produce?
- is it just emergency vehicles?
We're working hard on designing a wide range of kits from everyday sights across Northern Ireland, Scotland & Ireland, to the icons & to hidden gems.
At current, yes, our kits which are upcoming or soon to be for sale are mostly emergency vehicles from Northern Ireland, as they were originally designed to be MOCs for 'The Weee Duck', however, they got a lot of interest.
But fear not, other kits from sights across Northern Ireland, Scotland & Ireland are in the works! - we are working on other sets - Such as trains, buses, buildings & much more!.
Pink, yellow & ducks....
You maybe be questioning why we've chosen the colours we have & why a quacking duck of all things. Simple. Yellow & pink is our favourite colours & we love ducks. Plus ducking puns :)
Yellow is also a lot more accessible on dark backgrounds than white (it's worth a read up if you have a moment).

We like sustainability. We also love our environment.
That's why here at Weee Duck, all of items are packaged in reusable & recyclable cardboard boxes.
Our bricks in our Mini Builds kits are supplied in plastic-like, biodegradable eco bags too.
We also provide a QR code in our kits leading to a pdf of our instruction document rather than wasting loads of paper.

If you prefer in person, we currently stock limited stock at Tigeroo Toys in Belfast & have exclusive kits coming soon to Show Some Love.
We're also looking at doing markets & fairs in the future.
We're also currently reaching out to more local retailers to get our kits in physical stores too!
